At the Swiss Cyclo-cross Championships on the Baldegg in Baden, defending champion Timon Rüegg is beaten by mountain bike specialist Lars Forster. Forster wins the elite title for the third time. Behind Rüegg, Nicola Rohrbach rides to third place, followed by Lukas Flückiger and Andri Frischknecht. Zina Barhoumi wins the women's title.

Florian Vogel has celebrated countless victories during his career. However, the fact that he hung up his racing bike after last season doesn't stop him from competing or winning. At the ski touring vertical classic, the Night Attack in Flumserberg, Vogel outruns everyone and wins the overall ranking ahead of sprint world champion Arno Lietha and Gerhard Schneider.

Nino Schurter likes to use touring and cross-country skis as an alternative for his winter training. On the latter, he ventured to the starting line at the Planoiras fun run classic in Lenzerheide and proved his strength there too. Behind professional cross-country skiers such as Ilya Chernousov and Toni Livers, the mountain bike world champion took a respectable fifth place in the "Men 30" category.
