Assos becomes Baggy in 2019

The Swiss cycling clothing company Assos has been a supplier to Swiss Cycling and therefore also the national mountain bike team since 2002. However, the Ticino-based company has kept to a more traditional style. However, Assos is now presenting its new trail-off-road collection for 2019. This comes with looser cuts, but should continue to offer maximum functionality.

Trail Liner Shorts

Assos has designed the Trail Liner shorts based on the "rallyBoxer" and integrated a new front section and an improved waist design to offer more riding comfort and weight support at the same time
. The liner shorts are designed to be combined with the trail cargo shorts. They are designed to form the perfect base layer against the skin.

Trail cargo shorts

The trail cargo shorts are completely new, customizable all-mountain shorts. Their waistband is designed to keep the shorts comfortably in place. In addition, the shorts have a sophisticated cut that prevents the shorts from getting caught on the saddle, leg lengths that should fit perfectly with or without pads and a versatile new fabric that adapts to every movement.

Trail SS Jersey

This jersey combines aerodynamics with a lightweight feel, a clean cut and technically functional features. The Assos Trail SS jersey has a material that is so light and flexible that it is perfect for the warm season. It is durable, breathable and wicks moisture away from the skin to keep you dry on the climbs and cool on the descents. To maintain this breathability, Assos has incorporated a new bi-stretch 3-mesh fabric on the underarms to ensure continuous air circulation throughout the jersey.

Trail LS Jersey

Similar to the SS (short sleeve) version, this long sleeve jersey features Assos' proprietary DyneRope - a tightly woven, protective textile known for its exceptional durability. Assos has targeted the exposed underarm region of the jersey, protecting it against branches, bushes and light "ground attacks".

Trail FF Gloves

Assos uses a durable 3D mesh material on the palm of the long-fingered gloves. This is covered with a light, perforated padding in the areas where the hands hold the handlebars - on the upper and outer areas as well as on the thumbs. The fingertips are also surrounded by a resistant double layer. In addition, the fingertip areas of the index and middle fingers have a silicone coating for better control of the brake levers. The flexible cuffs adapt to the wrists and offer an almost tailor-made fit without any friction.

Trail Arm Protectors & Knee Protectors

Assos' specially developed dyneRope material is also used here. The arm and knee protectors are not only designed to protect you from the cold, but also from bushes and branch scratches thanks to their resistance, which is more than just a second skin.
