Enduro stage races are much more than just racing. The winners are celebrated at the end, but so are the long days in the saddle. Adventure, camaraderie and trail fun are what make this type of race so special, and they always attract people who have nothing else to do with racing. The mother of this format, the Trans-Provence, demonstrated this over ten years ago and wrote a new chapter in trail history every year.

Similar stories have yet to be told from Switzerland, despite the huge trail potential. Aventyr will change all that this summer: Switzerland's first multi-day enduro race will take place in the Lower Engadine from June 25 to 29, 2025. It stretches from the Race Hub in Scuol via Samnaun to Val Müstair. And as befits this mountain bike race format, the organizers say: "Aventyr Engiadina is an ode to the love of the trail."

Super trails, tough days, relaxed atmosphere

The enduro adventure rides participants between Samnaun and Val Müstair on first-class trails over high alpine passes, past the Swiss National Park and through picturesque Swiss stone pine forests. The route takes in both technically challenging and seemingly endless flowing descents. And thanks to the spectacular views, the landscape lovers among the racers won't miss out either.

Around 1600 vertical meters, 2800 Elevation losses and an average of 40 kilometers are covered every day. Rail transportation, transfers in shuttle buses and stretcher passages are always possible. The organizers have not yet gone any deeper into the route books. As is usual in enduro stage races, the participants tackle the rated stages blind, i.e. without being able to complete training rides on the trails beforehand. This is entirely in keeping with the highly acclaimed "Spirit of Enduro", in which discovery and shared experiences also play a central role.

The exhausting but eventful days in the saddle come to an end in Scuol at the Race Hub. The relaxation effect is supported by local specialties around the campfire and music. The participant package includes overnight accommodation from Wednesday, 25 to Sunday, 29 June, meals for the whole day, transportation during the rally and mountain railway tickets for the final day - for all those who want to ride their newly discovered favourite trails a second time.

The registration window for the Aventyr Engiadina opens at the end of February.
