After its meeting yesterday evening, 20 April, the organizing committee announced that the BergiBike Race on the last weekend of June in Bulle must also be cancelled. There is no rescheduling date this year. The BergiBike will next be held in June 2021. This also means that the Swiss Bike Marathon Championships, which should have been held at Bergibike, are open again. Swiss Cycling is responsible for reassigning the national championships. There is a chance that one of the remaining four race organizers within the Bike Marathon Classics will take over the title fight.

Preparations are going according to plan in the Eiger Bike Challenge OC. A decision will be made at the end of May as to whether the race will be held in Grindelwald on August 9.The OC of the National Park Bike Marathon is also confident that the race can be held in Scuol on August 29. However, the sticking point here could be the ride across the national border to Livigno. If no permit is granted by Italy, the alternative route, which will remain in the Engadin, will be used for the first time. If the federal government still does not permit any major events at the end of August, the rescheduled date is 3 October on the alternative route, which does not rise above 2,000 meters above sea level anywhere.The O-Tour Bike Marathon on September 19 in Alpnach is also being planned. However, no sponsors have yet been confirmed. A postponement date even later in 2020 would be out of the question for OC President Marion Imfeld. But possibly a race on an absolute low flame - without a printed program, communicated via social media.

The Iron Bike Race, which takes place on the last weekend in September in Einsiedeln, has also not planned a postponement date in 2020. It has already been decided not to produce a program, but is still confident that the race can be held over the hills around Lake Sihl. It will be announced at the end of May what will happen with the remaining four Classics races.
