With the launch of the BiXS Traction Crew, Swiss bike manufacturer BiXS recently brought three riders aged between 11 and 13 on board as brand ambassadors, strengthening its commitment to promoting young talent. Bode from Zurich, Linda from Lucerne and Martin from Basel will take part in monthly progression sessions between April and September 2023. This will prepare them for competitions, give them a basic knowledge of the bike and teach them how to understand and live the mountain bike community.

The BiXS Traction Crew provides athletes with a platform to fully develop their athletic and creative potential - BiXS attaches great importance to giving its young ambassadors an understanding of mountain biking in all its facets

In so-called progression sessions, the three crew members are taught basic know-how about riding technique, equipment and planning rides. The three learn important bike control techniques from experienced bikers and racers, as well as tips on preparation, strategy and mental attitude for successful races. The BiXS Traction Crew will also learn how to use social media correctly to not only be prepared for a potential career, but also be educated on risks and communication principles.

In a jam-packed program of shape days, ride jams, enduro races and progression sessions, the BiXS Traction Crew will be integrated step by step into the vibrant, dedicated and close-knit Swiss bike community.

Kids-specific bikes for maximum riding fun

In order to guarantee maximum riding fun on the trail or pump track and to be able to develop their full potential, the BiXS Traction Crew will be riding high-quality mountain bikes specifically developed for the needs of young bikers. In addition to specially adapted geometries and smaller wheels, the bikes also have a selection of components that are tailored to smaller and lighter riders.

The BiXS Traction 275 FS X is a fully-fledged mountain bike, perfect for ambitious intermediates. Solid components paired with 27.5-inch wheels and a telescopic seat post make the Traction 275 FS X a true all-rounder - from small trails next to the playground to bike park use.

For dirt and pump track use, BiXS relies on the Stomp 24. The 24-inch dirt jump bike has the same features as its big brother Stomp 1, but in a scaled-down overall package. With this children's dirt jumper, the future generation will literally fly over jumps and pump tracks.

Public training sessions for children

For BiXS, the promotion of young talent does not stop with the BiXS Traction Crew. Other young riders are invited to progression sessions to learn alongside the BiXS Traction Crew. For example, a BiXS Kids Training Day will be held in Biel on May 6, 2023, where around 30 external riders will be able to take part.
