About René Wildhaber

Growing up in a family of mountain farmers, the bike enabled him to discover the world. In his more than 20 active years as a mountain biker, René Wildhaber has competed in almost every discipline of mountain biking. At the beginning of his career, he competed purely in mountain races, later riding cross-country, downhill, long-distance downhill races and enduro. He celebrated his greatest successes in the long-distance downhill races, such as the Mégavalanche in Alpe d'Huez, which he won six times - he achieved a total of 20 victories in Mégavalanche races. He was European Enduro Champion, European Downhill Vice-Champion and Swiss Cross Country Champion in the Master category.

In addition to racing and his work as an ambassador for well-known brands such as Red Bull, René Wildhaber rides his own bike school on the Flumserberg. In collaboration with the Flumserberg mountain railroads, he also tirelessly promotes new bike-related projects, creating added value for the up-and-coming bike region. The nature-loving professional biker and new father of a daughter is not too shy to pick up the shovel himself and help maintain the trails.
