When it comes to E-MTBs, the question often arises as to whether to choose a lightweight bike or one with a large battery for long rides. With the Spectral:ON CFR, Canyon presents a pimped version of its standard version that can do both.

If you're aiming for the podium in cross-country races, there's no way around the Canyon Exceed 29er hardtail. This is confirmed by Canyon pros such as marathon world champion Andreas Seewald, in whose arsenal Edxceed has a permanent place. Now the fastest hardtail has been given an update.

The Spectral is almost a classic in the Canyon line-up. It is available with all standard wheel sizes and as a mullet build, as well as an e-bike. Recently there is a little "sister", the Spectral 125 with reduced suspension travel. Sounds cute, but it's not. The short-travel version likes a tough ride.

This balancing act is not easy when it comes to e-mountainbikes: the sports equipment should be as light as possible, but still offer maximum range. Canyon seems to have mastered this challenge, as the new Spectral:On line features a model that combines plenty of suspension travel, high battery capacity and low weight.

When it comes to fat bikes, the mail-order king continues to go all out: The Canyon Dude makes the hearts of fans of extra-wide tires beat faster and a new model expands the portfolio.

An e-mountain bike is an expensive pleasure? The answer to this question is yes. But Canyon, the king of mail-order bikes, starts early in terms of price: the Neuron:On line offers a well-equipped E-Fully for less than 4,000 francs.

A bike as versatile as a Swiss army knife: last year, Canyon raised the bar for versatile trail bikes and expanded its MTB product range with the Spectral 27.5", 29" and Mullet. Now the German company from Koblenz is going one better and launching the brand new Spectral 125, an innovative trail bike line-up with five new models.

Over the last ten years, Canyon pros have achieved some top results in the world of gravity racing. Whether in enduro or downhill racing, Canyon has built up know-how at the highest level through close cooperation with the professional teams. Now the Koblenz-based company wants to pass on this knowledge and experience and support a completely new team that focuses specifically on finding and promoting the best talent in the world. This is the Canyon CLLCTV Pirelli DH team.

The Canyon CLLCTV is proud to welcome a fast US-American to their DH team. From now on, 25-year-old downhill racer Luca Shaw will be supporting podium contenders Troy Brosnan, Mark Wallace and Jakob Jewett in the Canyon Collective Factory Team.

Canyon is starting 2022 with a bang and is launching a new professional team with a top-class line-up in the form of the Canyon CLLCTV Team. First and foremost, the shooting star of the last cross-country season, Loana Lecomte: the 22-year-old Frenchwoman will be battling for victories on the Canyon cross-country bikes Exceed and Lux from now on. Her compatriot Thomas Griot, currently number 15 in the UCI rankings, and the 2021 German MTB marathon champion Luca Schwarzbauer will also be there.

After the carbon bikes, the aluminum counterparts now follow: Canyon presents the portfolio of metal neurons with six models. On board are the identical geometries as the carbon bikes as well as a generous size range. The focus of the Neuron trail bike models is on balanced touring and all-round qualities.

Last year, mail-order king Canyon presented the completely newly developed Sender CFR downhill bike. And in the Worldup, Tahnée Seagrave and Troy Brosnan have claimed victories on it. For the 2022 model year, there are now new equipment variants in the Sender CFR line-up and there are also changes to the wheel sizes.

Until now, Canyon's Spectral was only available as a carbon bike and exclusively with 29er wheels. But that is now a thing of the past, as new aluminum and 27.5-inch models are rolling into the portfolio. The highest-quality carbon version and the Mullet version are particularly eye-catching.

Rock Shox presents the new Flight Attendant - the suspension system that reacts to both the trail and the rider's movements and is designed to offer the ideal suspension behavior for every situation. Everything is automatic, everything is wireless and everything is in real time. And what does this look like in reality? Canyon is equipping the two trail bikes Neuron and Spectral with the new technology.

Canyon has a proven cross-country bike on the market with the Lux, which has already claimed several podium places in the World Cup circuit. Now Canyon is following the trend towards down-country bikes and is presenting an "extended" version of the racing machine with the Lux Trail.

Canyon's cross-country file, the Lux, is getting an offspring: the Lux Trail, which has its sights set firmly on the downcountry segment. The basis is a lightweight and efficient carbon frame. The significantly more downhill-oriented geometry as well as more suspension travel, the Vario support, the wider handlebars and the wider tires guarantee an extra portion of off-road capability.

With his legendary skills, infectious good humor and wicked ideas for videos and tricks, it's no wonder Tomomi Nishikubo has taken the freeride and trials scene by storm. His videos such as "Ride To Survive" or "Chase Her" from 2020 have been clicked millions of times and have firmly established Tomomi as the ultimate trials ninja. Canyon is delighted to welcome such an exceptional talent to CLLCTV (Collective).

Whether in cyclocross races, road classics or on a mountain bike, the exceptional Dutch athlete Mathieu van der Poel is successful in all disciplines, making him one of the most versatile cyclists of our time. With the Lux CF SLX Frameset MVDP, Canyon is now presenting the signature frameset of "MVDP", strictly limited to 50 pieces, shortly after the World Cup kick-off.

The German mail-order company Canyon waited a long time before launching e-mountainbikes on the market. These correspond to the regular bike models in terms of naming, but with the addition ON. It's not just the play on words that is smart, a lot of brainpower has gone into the E-MTBs. The second generation of Canyon e-bikes is now on the market. And that brought Ride a big package from Koblenz in the fall of 2020.

The bikes are ready, all tests and adjustments have been successfully completed, the new jerseys fit perfectly - in short: style and form are right, all lights are green for the newly formed Canyon Team MTB Racing for 2021, the first full XCO season can start! It was already clear in January: Canada's cross-country star Emily Batty (32) was joining Canyon. This was followed just a few weeks later by the announcement that Canadian young XCO hopeful Laurie Arsenault (23) would also be riding race bikes from Koblenz in the future.

Canyon has long been synonymous with success in the marathon. One constant throughout all these years has been Kristian Hynek. After the end of the Topeak Ergon Racing Team, the Czech started his own marathon project with Canyon in 2019. This has now become the "Canyon Northwave MTB Team" with Martin Stosek, Dominik Buksa and Andreas Seewald, under the leadership of Kristian Hynek.

What do you do when you prefer to ride downhill and there is no lift or shuttle far and wide? Exactly, you get yourself a freerider with an auxiliary motor. This is exactly what mail-order king Canyon offers with the "Torque:On", which, like its non-motorized counterpart, is designed to provide fun on trails and in the bike park.

His own idols include Canyon CLLCTV riders such as US motocross star Ken Roczen and cousin Fabio, but if you look closely, you can see that Gabriel Wibmer is already on his way to the top himself. At the age of 18, the East Tyrolean born in Lienz is already one of the names that are making the scene sit up and take notice. After Canyon announced the collaboration with Fabio wibemer in January 2020, the Koblenz-based company now welcomes Gabriel Wibmer to the Canyon CLLCTV (Collective).

Following her departure from Trek, Canadian cross-country starlet Emily Batty and Canyon announce their collaboration. The two-time bronze medal winner at the World Championships has been unable to reach her potential over the last two seasons, so the relaunch with the brand change has come at the right time. With "great hunger", the 32-year-old wants to get back to the top of the world rankings.

Canyon's thoroughly racy enduro machine, the Strive, is entering the 2021 model year with far more than just a stylish new suit. What remains is its race-proven carbon frame, as well as the clever Shapeshifter technology, which adjusts both the geometry and the suspension travel at the rear.

How much fun you can have on a mountain bike should not be a question of your wallet. And that's why Canyon have developed the Stoic - to prove that the best trails in the world can be conquered with a big grin on your face without even thinking about terms such as "kinematics" or "suspension setup" for a single second. The fun bike is available from just under 800 francs.

There are many reasons not to own just one mountain bike. If space and budget allow, almost every mountain biker would like to own an entire bike armada, from a hardtail to a park machine. But what if you only want one bike? The mail-order king Canyon has a new suggestion.

For the 2021 gravity season, the direct-to-consumer bestseller Canyon is rolling out revised versions of its two longtravel bikes Torque and Sender AL on the trails and in the bike parks - including new components and fresh colors.

Some manufacturers briefly included fat bikes in their portfolio and then said goodbye to them as quickly as they arrived. Not so at Canyon: the motto here is "fat is fantastic" and that's why the German direct supplier is rolling out a fresh line of fat bikes.

Canyon's new Neuron models are a proud range of "do it all" bikes for tons of trail fun. The limited version of the Neuron with high-end components from DT Swiss stands out from the range.

For years, Canyon has been delivering the ultimate trail bike with the 150 mm Spectral - as agile as possible, as smooth as necessary and perfectly balanced. This ideal blend of playful handling and superb controllability is now getting some updates for the new 2021 trail season.

After the Exceed hardtail, Canyon is also relaunching the Lux cross-country fully. Its racing genes are even more pronounced for 2021, and the CF-SLX frame weighs less than 1,700 grams and holds two water bottles in each size. With the Lux, you also have a choice of seven equipment variants.

It has carried world-class athletes with rainbow jerseys to their victories. It has shone in the XCO World Cup. It broke the course record at the legendary Leadville 100. It is the first choice of ambitious cross-country racers with or without a license around the globe: Canyon is relaunching its Exceed and sending it onto the race tracks with a frame weight of 835 grams.

It is the best-selling mountain bike in the Canyon portfolio and has obviously been the first choice for both beginners and experienced trail riders for years:. And the best-selling Grand Canyon hardtail is now entering its 2021 model year.

Swiss bike fans had to wait until August 2019 for the market launch of Canyon Bicycles GmbH, based in Koblenz, Germany. Now the world's No. 1 direct-2-consumer bike brand is taking the next decisive step: on April 1, 2020, Canyon switched its online store to gross prices for Swiss customers too. While customers with a Swiss delivery address previously had to pay taxes and customs duties on the net prices of bikes and accessories themselves, this additional effort will no longer be necessary in future.

With the new Neuron AL, Canyon is taking a decisive step forward when it comes to small mountain bikers, presenting the Neuron AL Young Hero, a fully for kids and teenagers from 140 cm tall. Designed with the utmost attention to detail in terms of equipment, but with sensibly adapted parts such as the suspension components, this is an outstanding bike for CHF 1,499.

It was, is and remains the ultimate all-rounder, especially with its technology updates for the 2020 model year: the 130-millimeter Neuron AL fully from Canyon is once again the reliable partner for touring bikers who are not only not afraid of ambitious detours on the trails, but downright demand them.

"I want to have fun, so I want to ride downhill!" Wrong: Has anyone ever thought about having fun while riding uphill? Braydon Bringhurst is living proof that riding uphill can be great fun even without an assist motor. In "Interpret", he inspires mountain bikers to enjoy both equally. Ok, the guy is exceptionally good - but his uphill skills are undoubtedly inspiring.

The direct supplier Canyon is a late bloomer when it comes to e-mountainbikes. This phase now seems to be over, because with the brand new "Neuron:On", the Koblenz-based company is at the cutting edge. The battery is now integrated into the down tube and the engineers have also worked on the bike's center of gravity. The photos of the bike from Val Mustair are also worth seeing.

When Canyon entered the big stage of e-mountain bikes for the very first time in 2018 with the Spectral:ON, a completely new chapter began for the direct-2-consumer bike brand, which continued with the Neuron:ON. And now it continues: with the Grand Canyon:ON e-hardtail, Canyon presents the first representative of the next generation of e-bikes with a fully integrated Shimano drive system.

Downhill beast or fun-oriented trail bike? Or would you prefer both in one? With the new Strive, including completely new Shapeshifter technology, Canyon has presented the evolution of its successful "two-in-one" enduro concept for the 2019 season. For the 2020 season, the proven 150 millimeter carbon full suspension bike will be even more exclusive in its high-end "CFR" version.

Shortly before the turn of the year, an apparently professionally organized group of perpetrators attacked Canyon Bicycles GmbH. They succeeded in paralyzing Canyon's IT systems. The attack has now been stopped, but the phone and emails are still not working and the delivery of bicycles has been delayed as a result of the hack.

The German direct mail order company Canyon is back in Switzerland - and how. Not only with a full portfolio and opening offers. But soon with a base for test rides, service and warranty processing. Canyon boss Roman Arnold talks about his brand's plans in Switzerland in an interview.

Until now, there was confusion because this bike brand existed twice: the Swiss specialist retail brand Canyon.swiss and the German online provider Canyon. Now there are changes instead of confusion: Canyon.swiss changed its name to Cylan. And the direct mail order company Canyon is launching a full range in Switzerland.

Since September 2010, the German online provider Canyon has offered its bikes in Switzerland under the label "Pure Cycling" for trademark reasons. But this is now coming to an end.

Bike manufacturers are currently pumping a lot of resources into the development of motorized bikes. Direct supplier Canyon has done just that, but has not lost sight of another booming segment: the gravel bike. This new development from Koblenz shines with an extremely unique, breathtaking handlebar concept.

It is a challenge for manufacturers to get an e-mountainbike off the ground, as many areas are uncharted territory. Canyon - also known here as purecycling - has long kept its hands off the E-MTB. But now the mail-order company is spectacularly entering the stage of motorized mountain bikes with the "Spectral:ON" and showing interesting, independent detailed solutions.

A new trail bike is in the starting blocks at Canyon - sorry, better known here in Switzerland as Pure Cycling. The shape of the 140/150cc bike is reminiscent of the design language of the Sender DH bike. Joe Barnes and the Dukes of Hazard were involved in the development - so the new Spectral should be ready for all kinds of fun and adventure.

Florian Goral was just 30 years old when he died yesterday as a result of blood poisoning. As the founder of the Canyon Factory Team, Goral has left his mark on enduro racing in recent years.
