The new drive unit delivers up to 150 Newton-meters of torque and 1,500 watts of peak power. It also features a newly developed high-pivot suspension, two clearly defined model variants, and a high degree of customization.

During the official team presentation at Swiss Bike Park Oberried, the Swiss mountain bike team Thömus-Maxon presented its sporting goals, structural developments, and technical innovations for the 2026 season. Thömus Binggeli has been active in the Swiss bicycle market for 33 years - and is now realizing one of the most important milestones in the company's history with the takeover of 12 Bike World branches. What does this mean for customers?

Thömus buys Bike World from Migros. While sales in the bike industry are shrinking, the Bern-based manufacturer is expanding massively. CEO Thömu Binggeli explains why this is the right move at the right time in an interview with Ride.

Double European champion Lars Forster joins the Thömus Maxon team. Forster will make his debut in the red colors of the Swiss mountain bike team on January 2, 2023, at the final of the Swiss Cyclocross Cup in Meilen. Thömus maxon also presents a new clothing partner in Assos.

Thömus launches the new Lightrider E Ultimate, the world's first full-suspension cross-country e-mountainbike under 15 kilograms. The record weight is made possible by Maxon's small and efficient Bikedrive Air drive in the lightweight carbon frame. The new e-mountainbike comes with 120 to 140 millimetres of suspension travel, three possible battery sizes plus range extender and a maximum output of 40 Newton meters of torque.

U23 World Champion Alessandra Keller and World Cup winner Mathias Flückiger are extending their contracts with the "Thömus/RN Swiss Bike Team" until the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020. The team is also being strengthened with two young talents from Graubünden and in the personnel area.
