The rider carousel has also turned this fall in the Thömus/RN Racing team. On the one hand, the contracts with Kathrin Stirnemann, Alessandra Keller and Mathias Flückiger have been extended. "We have a very good atmosphere in the team and the staff create an optimal environment for us. That's hugely important for our success," enthuses U23 world champion Alessandra Keller.

In addition, Vital Albin from Tersnaus and Ursin Spescha from Sevgein are two promising young talents in the U23 category. "I am delighted that we have been able to extend the contracts with Kathrin, Alessandra and Mathias. After last year's very successful season, there were numerous offers from other teams. This great commitment to the team gives us a lot of motivation for our chosen path to Tokyo," says team owner Ralph Näf.

Title and bike sponsor Thömus has also extended its contract until the 2020 Olympic season. "The commitment to this Swiss mountain bike team has given us a lot of pleasure in 2018 and the desired advertising effect has been achieved. We look forward to continuing our collaboration," says Thömus CEO Thomas Binggeli.

The team name was also changed slightly in the run-up to the Olympic season. The "Thömus/RN Racing Team" will now become the "Thömus/RN Swiss Bike Team".

There are also major changes in the team's environment. Together with Roland Richner (former Head of Competitive Sports at Swiss Cycling) and Marcel Kurattli, a professional structure is being established from junior age. While Kurattli, with his junior team "Thömus/RN Young Stars", enables talented youngsters to enter racing independently of the club and their parents, Roland Richner, with the Sports Academy Solothurn, ensures a comprehensive range of support services including school, education, training, high-quality sports facilities and sports medicine.
