CrossWorx gives its most powerful e-MTB a battery upgrade

CrossWorx Cycles is expanding its Full Power E Mountain Bike "PACE290" and now offers the model with battery capacities ranging from 600 to 1050 watt hours. With this expansion of its product range, the brand is responding to the demand for greater range, more freedom on long tours, and greater flexibility in everyday life.

CrossWorx Cycles is expanding the battery range for its Full Power E mountain bike "PACE290." Manufactured in Germany since 2019, the model was previously available with a 600 watt-hour battery and could be optionally upgraded to 850 watt-hours with the Bosch "PowerMore" range extender. A new 800 watt-hour version is now available. The "PACE290" now covers the most common battery sizes in this segment and is available with 600, 800, 850, and 1050 watt-hours. With this expansion, the company is responding to the growing demand for greater range and flexibility. Longer tours and versatile everyday use are becoming increasingly important for many customers. The new 800 watt-hour battery is designed to enable extended rides with more reserves. For frame kits and complete bikes, upgrading to the 800 watt-hour battery costs an additional $250 compared to the basic configuration with the "Powertube 600." The concept is complemented by the combination options with the "PowerMore 250 Range Extender." This results in the following battery configurations:

600 watt hours "Powertube 600"
800 watt hours "Powertube 800"
850 watt hours "Powertube 600" plus "PowerMore 250 Range Extender"
1050 watt hours "Powertube 800" plus "PowerMore 250 Range Extender"

The removable down tube cover is practical for use on the go, as it allows for quick battery replacement. In addition, when purchasing a complete bike or frame kit, a second "Powertube 800" battery can be ordered as part of a bundle for €799. Existing owners of a "PACE290" with 600 watt hours should also benefit from the innovation. According to the company, all previous models can be retrofitted to 800 watt hours. An upgrade kit with Bosch "Powertube 800" and matching battery cover is available for this purpose. The price for this retrofit package is €899 and can already be requested and ordered.

The "PACE290" is still available as a frame kit or complete bike via the configurator on the company website. In addition to the aluminum "Raw Look," six other colors and all "RAL Classic" shades in matte and gloss are available. Individual add-on parts such as the display or replacement battery can also be configured individually. According to CrossWorx Cycles, the delivery time is around four weeks for a bike in the color "Radiant Raw" and around six weeks for a powder-coated bike.
