Dave Watson, famous from freeride films, skips the Tour de France peloton! Hardly any media reported on it and the Canadian freeride scene is beside itself: Watson built a kicker at one end of the road, the landing on the other side and as the peloton roared on, the Canadian jumped over the field. Now Watson is in custody in France, no joke!

Little is still known about the jump and images are almost non-existent. However, it is said that the film crew for New World Disorder 4 were on location and have the whole thing in the can.

Watson suffered a minor injury during the jump, but did affect a few spectators. The spectators on the sidelines ran along with the field of riders and therefore also in front of Watson's landing. He unintentionally had to extend the jump a little, fell and suffered minor injuries. After a short stay in hospital, Watson was immediately picked up by the gendarmerie and taken into custody.
