The eventual podium line-up comes together on lap two - Filippo Colombo plays no part after a mediocre start. While Dubau crashed first in the rainy conditions, it was Jonas Lindberg, who was leading by a few seconds, who had to go down. Dubau and Philipp were able to take advantage of this to pass the Dane. The classification in the first three places is now complete. Despite a good starting position, Colombo is unable to follow the leaders.

Filippo Colombo comes on strong, only 15 seconds behind him after Lindberg's crash, but it's not enough on this day. "The others were stronger today. I tried to keep up with Petter Fagerhaug when he came from behind, but that didn't work. I'm still satisfied. The team gave me a perfect bike with optimal tires. I had a great feeling on the downhill", commented Colombo. Colombo on Fagerhaug's rear wheel in the final phase.

For Joel Roth, the race was already over before the first corner. He crashes and breaks his handlebars. The second best Swiss rider was Noah Blochlinger, who finished a solid and consistent race in twelfth place (+3:29).
