Florian Vogel was one of the world's best mountain bikers, is now a dedicated coach and, most recently, team leader of the "Scott Davos MTB Project". The aim of the junior team is to train future top athletes and introduce them to the world elite. The team will start the 2023 season with three athletes.

The Swiss-based UCI mountain bike team "Pump For Peace Racing" has added the up-and-coming Unathi Nxumalo to its team. Nxumalo, who comes from the South African province of KwaZulu-Natal, joins the team of Faranak Partoazar from Iran and Tumelo Makae from Lesotho, who are both multiple national champions and pioneers of the sport in their countries.

After a year with Team VR Academy, 2021 Swiss downhill champion Yannick Bächler is moving up to the Scott Factory Downhill Team. The Fribourg native joins the team with downhill stars such as Marine Cabirou and Brendan Fairclough.

In the hors-category race International Chelva near Valencia, Vlad Dascalu (ROU) takes victory ahead of Belgium's Pierre de Froidmont and the surprising Spaniard David Domingo Campos Motos. Italian Marti Berta won the women's race ahead of Evie Richards (GBR) and Anne Tauber (NED). Switzerland's Ronja Blöchlinger rides to sixth place in the internationally strong field.
