Five Ten promises even more support

With the Freerider VXi bike shoe, the manufacturer Five Ten, which has been part of the Adidas Group for over a year, is sending a new shoe concept onto the trails. What looks like an expired sole is supposed to provide even more grip.

The Freerider VXi kicks will be available in three colors, but in addition to the chic exterior, the inner values should also be mentioned here. Five Ten is not only relying on the coarse dots as a structure for the sole. In the ball of the foot area, i.e. the contact radius of the pedal cage, the shoe is equipped with a smooth surface.

This area designed in this way makes it possible to "adjust the foot position for active riding - to relieve and rotate the foot without disturbing sole structure", writes the manufacturer. In other words, the lack of structure at the ball of the foot means that the shoe no longer needs to be lifted completely to reposition it.

At the front and rear, the sole with the dots continues to provide grip on the terrain. A midsole promises additional cushioning for hard impacts and jumps. The shoe will arrive at specialist retailers in mid-April.
