Nino Schurter and Mathias Flückiger once again tried their hand at a road race. As part of the Swiss national team, they took part in the Grand Prix of the Canton of Aargau in Gippingen. The world-class mountain bikers had nothing to do with the decision. While the Norwegian Alexander Kristoff won the 185-kilometer race for the third time in a sprint on the uphill finishing straight, Flückiger rode only slightly behind him and crossed the finish line 8 seconds after the winner. Things went less well for Schurter, who finished 67th, a good two minutes behind. https://www.ride.ch/de/news/flueckiger-und-schurter-auf-der-strasse
