Patricia, you and your business partner Andrea Hahn have been successfully developing mountain bike offers for many years. Why are you now expanding the offer to include hiking and stand-up paddling? The offer has a predecessor, but it was a lot more extreme, with the ascent of Piz Palü and a via ferrata tour. It was very challenging for both the participants and us organizers. It was also quite expensive with a mountain guide, overnight stay on the Diavolezza and so on. As a result, it wasn't booked very often.

So a simpler package was needed.
We still think that the Engadin offers so much more than just great trails. We also know that there are many women who like to ride trails for a day every now and then, but who don't want to do nothing else for three days. We also want to make places accessible to all female bikers that you can't get to by bike, for example the Giovanni Segantini hut above Muottas Muragl. Paddling on the lakes, you can experience the Engadin from a completely different perspective.

Is just biking too boring for women?
Our Ladies Camps have been going great for years. Many women enjoy spending three days biking with women only. But even among them there are some who are open to other experiences.

Are you also interested in attracting customers who are not yet bikers?
We can't cater for absolute beginners, even though we won't be riding any difficult trails. We will have two levels of biking and hiking so that everyone can have fun without being overwhelmed.

How are your single trail camps, the weekends when singles go out on the trails together, going? The Single Trail Camp is still going great, this is now the fourth year we've run it. The atmosphere is always great. Some people said at the end that they deliberately kept their status as single so that they could come again.

Finally, why don't you also offer the Outdoor Days to men or couples? We were asked by Switzerland Tourism whether we would like to promote our Ladies Bike Camp as part of their 100 % Women campaign. We found it more exciting to revive our outdoor offer in a slightly less demanding form. We know from our Ladies Camps that many women simply enjoy spending a few days out and about with women only.
