According to the FAF, they were inspired by the fans on the Facebook page, who unanimously called for a mountain bike dirt jump discipline. For the first time in the history of the freeestyle.ch event, mountain bikers will be coming to the Landiwiese, and the set-up for the dirt jump line is currently under construction.

The organizer FAF had proven several times at the Bike Days that Dirt Jump is an extremely popular discipline. At this year's Bike Days, the organizer elevated the Dirt Jump Contest into the Freeride Mountain Bike World Tour as a bronze event for the first time and attracted a well-attended, international field of riders to the start in Solothurn's Schanzengraben.

The next event, which is expected to be packed with top-class riders, will take place in Switzerland on September 22-23, 2013 at freestyle.ch. According to the organizer, the event is very popular with the 14 to 24-year-old core target group and attracts up to 30,000 visitors every year.

FAF AG is currently sending out a mailing to point out that the Dirt Jump format is the first opportunity for the bike industry to make contact with mountain bike enthusiasts at freestyle.ch. The Label World exhibition area will be located directly at the main entrance for the first time at this year's event, which the organizers hope will increase visitor frequency for exhibitors.
