Gstaad organizes Swiss Cross-Country Championships
In August 2020, Gstaad hosted a stage of the "Proffix Swiss Bike Cup" for the first time. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Bernese Oberland region stepped into the breach for other organizers at short notice. An attractive race track has been built with a lot of passion at Saanen airfield and in the adjacent area, where the Swiss Championships will take place on the weekend of 29 and 30 May 2021.
Neff and Schurter as defending champions
With figureheads Jolanda Neff and Nino Schurter as defending champions and last year's Gstaad winner Mathias Flückiger, everyone who is anyone in the racing scene is expected to be at the start immediately after the first two World Cup races in the Bernese Oberland.
