In 2006, the Giant Swiss Team was founded as a cross-country team. Although the remaining team riders gradually turned their backs on cross-country racing as the reputation of enduro racing grew, the team name remained for a few more years. With the reorganization of the small but fine racing team, the old team name was also dropped and changed to "Swiss Enduro Team by Giant". As the name suggests, Giant remains the main sponsor and SR Suntour continues to support the athletes with excellent suspension.

"The idea behind the team is to show that Swiss cyclists can be successful not only in cross country or on the road bike. It is based on a four-year plan to win national titles, show top results in the Enduro World Series and develop with a professional attitude towards the 2025 UCI Enduro World Championships in Leukerbad," says Knut Büngen, who is responsible for managing the team of three racers.
