Jaroslav Kulhavy out injured for a longer period of time

The defending Olympic champion is out for a long time. Kulhavy injured his hand in a fall over the handlebars in Cyprus. Training and racing are out of the question at the moment. Kulhavy underwent surgery in Cyprus yesterday.

Not ideal preparation for the Olympic year for Jaroslav Kulhavy. In his crash at the Sunshine Cup, the Specalized rider suffered a more serious injury than first thought. In a three-hour operation, Kulhavy's hand was immobilized with a plate. According to the doctors, optimal training is out of the question for the next few weeks. It is still uncertain when Kulhavy will return to the racing circuit. The World Championships will take place in Kulhavy's home country this year. The race in Nove Mesto is scheduled for July 3, the Olympic race for August 21.
