Lance Armstrong at the start in Reinach

Interesting information from the organizers of the Swisspower Cup: Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong has confirmed his participation in the race in Reinach. The American has his roots in mountain biking, among other things, and has always wanted to take part in Switzerland's top series. This year will be the first time he has had the opportunity to integrate a start in the Swisspowercup into his racing schedule.

When asked about his chances, Armstrong is confident and also reveals that he is planning a 3-man start for Athens! "I also want to compete on the mountain bike at the Olympic Games in Athens this year. I have subordinated everything to Athens this year. I'm confident that I can keep up with the top 5." So far, only Thomas Frischknecht has achieved the double: he competed in both the Olympic road and mountain bike races in Atlanta.
