From July 23 to 27, 2025, the elite of European mountain biking will meet in Melgaço in the north of Portugal. The picturesque small town in the Viana do Castelo region will be transformed into the heart of off-road cycling during the European Mountain Bike Championships.

At the Swiss Downhill Championships on the Wiriehorn, local Elia Saurer takes the championship title in the elite race ahead of Yannick Bächler and Lino Lehmann. Camille Balanche won the women's title, one second ahead of Lisa Baumann, who was back at the start for the first time after her injury break. Bronze went to Delia Da Mocogno. This time, the U19 title went to Raoul Schneeberger.
