Hand on heart: When you think of top Swiss riders in the Mountain Bike World Cup, the name Marcel Guerrini is probably not the first thing that comes to mind. But hey, the man has impressively proven that he is just that. Three podium finishes in 2023 speak volumes and show that Marcel can deliver what he has long been convinced of himself.

The years before, however, were tough: a nasty injury, that darn Covid year, starting positions in the middle of nowhere and no team by his side. Anything but ideal conditions. However, racing from 120th on the grid to 22nd place is an achievement that is rarely seen, even at the top. Top performance, position... well, room for improvement. ‍

But Marcel believed in himself, just like those around him. A good placing at the right time gave him the final kick and bang, he had a contract with the Bixs Performance Race Team until 2025.
