The Swiss Championships in the marathon mountain bike discipline will take place on September 19, 2020 as part of the National Park Bike Marathon. The route runs exclusively through the Engadin and the number of participants is limited.

At the Coupe de France on Alpe d'Huez, Jolanda Neff had to concede to the surprising Lena Gerault from France, but prevailed against world champion Pauline Ferrand Prevot and other internationally renowned riders. Thomas rode to third place in the men's race, behind winner Milan Vader (NED) and Jordan Sarrou (FRA). Filippo Colombo took a good seventh place.

In just under three weeks, on August 30, 2020, the 5th edition of the KronplatzKing MTB Marathon, the long-distance mountain bike race starting in St. Vigil in Enneberg (1,200 m) and finishing at the summit of Kronplatz (2,275 m), will take place, for which the world elite has announced Thiago Ferreira (POR), Leonardo Paez (COL) and Esther Süss (SUI). There are two routes to choose from: the KingMarathon variant with 73 km and 3,250 meters of ascent and the PrinceClassic route with 49 km and 2,160 m+. Over 7,000 euros in prize money is on offer.
