The bike policy debate surrounding Basel's local mountain, Gempen, has been going on for years and reached a climax with the publication of the Basel Singletrail Map. Single trails have now been opened to bikers for the 2003 season, using an exemption from the current forestry law. The trail will be inaugurated on April 4. People will meet at 5 p.m. in the Schönmatt restaurant.
