President of Trek goes among the book authors

John Burke takes the readers of his book "One Last Great Thing" deep into the history of Trek. The chairman of the US manufacturer has written a tribute to the life of his father, who founded one of the most successful bicycle companies in the world in 1976.

In "One Last Great Thing", John Burke takes the reader through the stages of Trek's success story and shows the origins of the company that his father Richard Burke founded 36 years ago in a barn in Waterloo, Wisconsin. But the book is above all an intimate portrait of the relationship between father and son. Burke shows how his father taught him to be successful and self-confident in both business and private life. The book also offers insights into business practices at Trek and the family history of Trek's founding family.

"I wrote this book for my children," says the Trek CEO, "but as the book grew, I realized that my father could inspire more people, too. I hope readers find my father's story as inspiring as this one was for me."
