Young mountain bikers will once again have their own race series in 2026: This summer, the Bike Kingdom Kids Cup—a downhill series designed specifically for children and teenagers—will kick off. On technically adapted courses and with professional timing, young riders between the ages of 6 and 16 can get their first taste of racing and compete against their peers. Registration for the series and for individual races is now open. Three Races at Bike Kingdom The 2026 season includes three race weekends at Bike Kingdom. The series kicks off on June 7, 2026, at Bike Kingdom Park Lenzerheide. It then moves on to Chur, where riders will ride for points on August 16, 2026, at the Alpenbikepark Chur. Finally, the grand season finale will take place on September 12 and 13, 2026, once again at Bike Kingdom Park Lenzerheide.The races will be held as classic downhill time trials: Each participant completes a timed run—the fastest time determines the day’s winner. The course varies depending on the category and venue, ensuring that the challenges are tailored to the participants’ age and skill level. Focus on the Next Generation The Bike Kingdom Kids Cup is designed for various age groups—from the youngest “Little Shredders” to the U17 categories. Girls and boys are ranked separately, and there is also an overall ranking across all races.The focus is not only on the competition, but also on the fun of the sport and gaining initial racing experience.
