Rinderknecht second at the Sea Otter-Four Cross

Swiss rider Roger Rinderknecht finishes second behind local hero Brian Lopes at the Sea Otter Classic. The special thing about this result: World Cup winner Rinderknecht is still riding on his own and still has no professional contract for the coming season. For Rinderknecht, the Sea Otter Classic is the last chance to join a team after all.

His rival Brian Lopes continues to ride for GT (on a princely salary) and rides out on top in Monterey. Before he won the Four Cross race, he won the dual slalom against Cedric Gracia in the final. However, the Californian refused to climb the podium because the organizers did not pay out any prize money for the race.
