Santa Cruz Tallboy LT for rough terrain

One of Santa Cruz's bestsellers par excellence is getting a sibling: the "Tallboy LT". The short-stroke "Tallboy" has been described by various mountain bike magazines as one of the best 29er bikes ever. Now, with the "Tallboy LT" made of aluminum and the "Tallboy LTc" made of carbon, two all-mountain models of the successful model are coming.

At the rear, the VPP rear triangle provides the "Tallboy LT" with 135 millimetres of travel, while suspension forks with 130 to 150 millimetres of travel can be fitted at the front. Compared to the "Tallboy", the steering angle is 1.5 degrees slacker (69.5 degrees at 150 mm on the fork) and the seat angle is 0.5 degrees slacker (72.5 degrees). According to Santa Cruz, the "Tallboy LT" is the big-wheeled alternative to the "Blur LT". A versatile bike with sufficient reserves that also wants to be ridden hard in rough terrain.
Compared to many other competitors, Santa Cruz still does not route any cables internally on either the "Tallboy LT" or the "Tallboy LTc". The main reason for this is the easier maintenance of externally routed cables. In addition to a cable guide for telescopic seat posts, there is also an ISCG05 mount for fitting a chain guide. So nothing stands in the way of tough all-mountain use.

High-quality workmanship
The top priority, regardless of whether the aluminum or carbon version, was efficiency and durability. Thanks to short and stiff rocker arms, high-quality bolts and bearings, you have a stiff and therefore efficient frame that is also durable and easy to maintain. The existing grease nipples for greasing the lower bearings are of course also included.

Black metal
Santa Cruz goes one step further with the carbon "Tallboy LTc" model. With identical geometry and kinematics as well as the same area of application, it is even stiffer, more robust and lighter. The frame weighs just 2405 grams including the rear shock. Santa Cruz has also dared to use an axle dimension of 142x12 millimetres for the first time with this frame.
