A total of 719 girls and boys from 28 countries took part in this year's European MTB Youth Championships (U15 and U17) in Jönköping (Sweden). The Netherlands topped the final medal table, followed by Switzerland and Italy.

With an increase in pace on the final climb to Kleine Scheidegg, European champion Andreas Seewald distanced his last companion, Hansueli Stauffer from Sigriswil, and rode to a confident victory. Frenchman Alexandre Balmer comes third. In the women's race, Anna Weinbeer is in a class of her own. The woman from Basel outdistanced last year's second-placed winner Alessia Nay by 33:51 minutes! Third place goes to the French champion Margot Moschetti.

The Swiss Enduro Championship makes its first guest appearance in Airolo and delivers a spectacular race weekend against a Mediterranean mountain backdrop. Delia Da Mocogno dominates the women's race and defends her title with aplomb, while Gustav Wildhaber finally fulfills his dream of winning the championship after years of attempts.
