Sram launches new, downhill-specific XO hubs

The new Sram XO-DH hubs are primarily designed for stability and durability. Despite their robustness, the relatively lightweight hubs rotate on smooth-running precision bearings, come in two widths and are available with two freehub options.

In order to withstand the great forces that act on the material in downhill sport, Sram is launching new downhill-specific hubs. The rear hubs are available in 12x150 and 12x157 millimetres, while the front hub is only available in 20x110 millimetres. At 265 and 130 grams, these hubs are still relatively light. The 3D-forged hub shells are fitted with precision bearings (SPEEDBALL™ bearings) to ensure smooth running.

As with the other hubs, the DOUBLE TIME™ ratchet mechanism is installed in the rear hubs. This straight aligned 4- pawl design in combination with the 26-tooth ratchet ring provides 52 engagement points. These allow the pawls to engage more quickly, which should have a positive effect on reaction times when constantly pedaling, for example out of bends.
The 32-hole hubs are compatible with both 10-speed and 11-speed XD bodies.
