World-class event thanks to a wealth of ideas

It was 2010: the organizers' beards were still a little thinner, the tricks on the freestyle mountain bikers' world tour a little less challenging - but the ideas were sprouting like crazy. From the very first moment, the participants fell in love with the slope-style course that the Flying Metal Crew had carved into the Grabengut ice rink in Thun.

Since then, the event has undergone enormous development: back then still known as "Rocket Air Slopestyle", Swatch is now an important partner of the event name and it is one of the top ten events on the FMB World Tour as a gold stop. This year, the organizers will once again conjure up an event arena from the ice rink with bike course from back then. Spectacular live TV images will be streamed around the world as the best riders on the freestyle mountain bike scene compete for fame, glory and prize money and try to outdo each other with daring tricks.

Spectacular staging and workshops for schools

Over the past ten years, the staging of the ice rink in Thun has become a trademark of the event. Scrap yards, forests, time travel, the end of the world or disco fever: almost everything has been celebrated. So it is certainly not presumptuous to say that the Flying Metal Crew will be wrapping the course in a spectacular birthday party décor again this year. Of course, the organizing committee is also coming up with some innovations this year: for the first time, there will be a children's afternoon for schools with various workshops on movement, balance, education, energy, sustainability, etc.

Tickets for the anniversary show are already available. There are Friday tickets for the team battle as well as afternoon and evening tickets for Saturday. The organizers are offering affordable family tickets for families.
