Fadri Barandun and Andrin Beeli capped off the 2026 Swiss Epic with a special home victory. The two riders from Graubünden won the five-day stage race in their home canton of Graubünden, of all places. In the women’s race, Anna Weinbeer and Claudia Peretti dominated the competition and confidently secured the overall victory with five stage wins.

The legendary Verbier mountain bike marathon—a 125-kilometer race to Grimentz—ended with a Swiss one-two finish in the men’s race, with Martin Fanger ahead of Urs Huber. French rider Tristan Arioli crossed the finish line in third place. In the women’s race, Paula Gorycka-Kurmann, a Polish rider living in Switzerland, won by a clear margin ahead of Margot Moschetti of France and Alessia Nay of the canton of Graubünden. 

The Swiss Championships in the mountain bike downhill discipline will be held on September 13 in Verbier. The title races in Val de Bagnes will take place as part of the iXS European Downhill Cup. Organizers are looking for the successor to the retired world-class athlete Camille Balanche and the successor to Elia Saurer.
