The FSA Bike Festival in Riva del Garda returns to the lakeside promenade

From May 1 to 3, 2026, Riva del Garda will once again become the hotspot of the European bike scene. Between palm trees, lake shores and legendary trails, the FSA Bike Festival will once again guarantee three full days of dolce vita on two wheels, right back on the iconic lakeside promenade.

It's still winter on Lake Garda, but preparations for one of Europe's most popular bike events are already in full swing. The 32nd Bike Festival Riva del Garda will return to the iconic lakeside promenade from May 1 to 3, 2026 and will be bigger and more exciting than ever before.

Along for the ride: title sponsor FSA, which has extended its partnership for another three years after eight years. "We are proud to extend our collaboration with Garda Trentino for the third time in a row," says Giorgio Marra, Project Manager at FSA. "The Bike Festival is not just an event, but a project that was launched in 2018 and, thanks to both partners, has been able to develop steadily with the aim of making it more accessible and attractive to a wide audience year after year."

This is why the festival is also presenting itself this year with a new key visual that perfectly captures the unmistakable Garda feeling. At the same time, Lake Garda is strengthening its role as a meeting point for the entire off-road bike world, from mountain bikes to gravel bikes. "All of this is thanks to the joint efforts of the Garda Trentino and FSA teams, who are working together on new concepts, activities, competitions and formats for everyone," says Marra.

The Bike Festival 2026 will also focus increasingly on sustainability, from environmentally friendly event logistics and regional partners to social and economic responsibility. The aim is to preserve the beauty of the region and positively support the local community in the long term: "In recent years, the Bike Festival Riva has increasingly distinguished itself through its attention to sustainability, not only in ecological but also in social terms. This is demonstrated by the contribution of over 170 volunteers who took part in the last edition. This element highlights the value of an open, participatory event capable of generating a positive impact on the community and the local economy. After all, the best results are only achieved together. Not only that: this approach is fully in line with our commitment as a GSTC - Global Sustainable Tourism Council - certified destination, the most important international certification for environmental, social, cultural and economic sustainability in tourism," explains the President of Garda Dolomiti Azienda per il Turismo S.p.A., Silvio Rigatti.

Registration open for first races

Four major competitions await participants in 2026, from junior to pro, from pleasure to adrenaline. This year's race package is even more extensive thanks to the expanded collaboration with title sponsor FSA. Riders of all levels can therefore look forward to exclusive starter kits: "Anyone who registers for one of the competitions will receive a special gift designed jointly by FSA and Garda Trentino," reveals Marra.

The legendary bike marathon rides three routes around Riva del Garda: the Ronda Piccola (30.67 kilometers, 1065 vertical meters) is ideal for hobby riders, while the Ronda Grande (5956 kilometers, 2406 vertical meters) inspires more demanding riders. The Ronda Extrema (8277 kilometers, 3434 vertical meters) is classified as a UCI race for professionals and promises thrilling competitions.

For all e-bike enthusiasts, there is the e-bike marathon (48 kilometers, 1700 vertical meters), which guarantees both uphill and downhill riding fun and combines the best of technology and nature.

The Maxxis Gravel Garda Trentino on two different routes is not just about time, but also about enjoyment. Breathtaking views and a real Garda feeling make the race one of the most important gravel events on the European scene - this year for the first time on Sunday.

The youngest participants are also the focus of attention: the Scott Junior Trophy offers children and young people routes from 250 meters to 3.5 kilometers and lots of fun. Registration for all races is already open, registration for the Bosch eMTB Challenge will follow at a later date.

Three days of action, bikes and vacation flair

For over three decades, the FSA Bike Festival has been a must-attend event for tens of thousands of bike fans - from UCI pros to amateur riders and families.

In the Expo Area, which is even larger this year, exhibitors will present the latest bikes, trends and innovations. Test bikes, side events and guided tours will once again make the festival a highlight in 2026 that will inspire people far beyond the bike community. If you want to feel the Lake Garda vibes before May, you can find sustainable festival merchandise in the online store: from T-shirts made from organic cotton to socks made from recycled yarn and the popular Gravel collection. Perfect as a gift or to get yourself in the mood for the new season in style.
