With just a few months to go until the start of the "Hero UCI Marathon World Cup 2025", the eagerly awaited competitive atmosphere is gradually spreading. The World Cup race series, which the UCI wanted in order to enhance the marathon scene, was created thanks to the collaboration of several organizations and their shared conviction that an international race series could be developed to celebrate mountain biking in the best possible way.

The first race of the Hero UCI Marathon World Cup 2025 is the Capoliveri Legend Cup, where expectations are high. "The countdown has already begun in Capoliveri. We are all excited and can't wait to enter the decisive phase of this event together with the giants of mountain biking. The new route and the new logistics will significantly raise the level of the Capoliveri Legend Cup powered by Scott. The renewed route will ride 100 percent on unpaved roads on the Monte Calamita promontory and high above the sea through colorful, fragrant Mediterranean scrub. We are looking forward to hundreds of bikers who will herald another successful edition of our competition on 10 May at the opening race of the World Cup," says Maurizio Melis, President of Asd Capoliveri Bike Park.

The organizers of the second competition of the race series, which will take place on 1 June 2025, share the same enthusiasm. "It is a great honor for us to host a stage of the Hero UCI Marathon World Cup at our Bike Show Naturland in Andorra. The race takes place at a favorable time in the annual calendar and in an enviable geographical position. The spectacular route will delight mountain bikers and invites them to ride the breathtaking trails in the heart of the Pyrenees," said Albert Balcells, CEO of Ocisport, the company that manages the Andorran nature reserve.

The Hero Südtirol Dolomites, which was held for the first time in 2010, is considered by mountain bikers to be the race you have to ride at least once in your life. The third race in the series will be held here on Saturday, June 14, 2025. Gerhard Vanzi, CEO and founder of Hero Dolomites, says: "For us, it is a great honor from the UCI that we are allowed to host the UCI World Cup at Hero Südtirol Dolomites and that the race series bears the name Hero. All the more so as four of the most important mountain bike marathons in Europe in the field of competitive sport have decided to join our project and work with us as a team. This is real added value for the mountain bike movement."

The Black Forest Ultra Bike Marathon is the fourth race date in the World Cup. A proven organization that knows how to put on a spectacular event in the Black Forest. "The Black Forest ULTRA Bike Marathon is one of the biggest and most atmospheric mountain bike marathons in Europe. This year we are celebrating our 25th event - a special anniversary that will be crowned by hosting the Hero UCI Marathon World Cup. This award is a great recognition for the many years of passionate work of our organizing committee and the many volunteers from the local clubs," said Britta Schreiber, Managing Director, and Sebastian Eckmann, Race Director of the Black Forest ULTRA Bike Marathon.

The winners of the UCI World Cup will finally be crowned in Spain at La Tramun Sea Otter Europe in Girona.
