The Lenzerheide vacation region has had to postpone the start of the summer season. The planned holiday and weekend operations from Thursday, May 10, 2018 cannot yet begin due to the large amounts of snow on the trails in the Lenzerheide Bikepark and the hiking trails at Scharmoin and Heidbüel. The Rothorn 1 gondola lift and the Heidbüel panorama lift will therefore remain closed until further notice.

"There is still around 1.5 meters of snow on the trails in the bike park in various places," confirms Peter Engler, CEO of Lenzerheide Bergbahnen AG. In the lower, bumpy areas, the bike park crew is already preparing the trails for the opening of the season. The current plan is to start summer operations on the Whitsun weekend from May 19 to 21, 2018. "We hope the weather and temperatures play along again in the coming days," emphasizes Peter Engler.
