Trail Supply acquires Black Forest Softgoods

With parts from Acros, Notubes and Kore, the distributor Trail Supply used to be all about hard facts. Fine fabrics are now making their way into the portfolio: Local Outerwear, the bikewear label from the Black Forest, is coming to single trails in Switzerland via Trail Supply.

From spring 2014, Trail Supply will be distributing the bike clothing from Local Outerwear in Switzerland. The bike clothing is designed in the Black Forest and produced exclusively in Europe.

"With Local Outerwear, Trail Supply's existing portfolio is ideally complemented by a brand from locals in the Black Forest for locals throughout Switzerland," says Stefan Gruber, Managing Director of Trail Supply, who himself has his roots in Baden-Württemberg.

"With Local, we have found like-minded people in the large canton, because the bike clothing, like all our brands, makes you want to go biking even more," Gruber continues.

The clothing brand Local Outwear was founded in 2011. The collection includes colorful bike clothing for women and men, with the pieces often featuring checks or asymmetrical cuts in addition to bright colors.

Among the riders supported by Local Outerwear are local heroes from Baden-Württemberg and Davide Allegri from Italy. The icon of the German downhill scene, Markus Klausmann, has also been clad in the fabrics of Local Outerwear since 2013.
