In future, TranZBag bicycle transport bags will be available at SBB baggage drop-off points, at SBB ticket counters, in the SBB online store and, as before, from specialist bicycle retailers: Bicycles - packed in the TranZBag transport bag - can generally be carried free of charge as hand luggage on trains, buses, boats and mountain railroads in Switzerland. The newly developed bike transport bag weighs around 800 grams including the transport cover. TranZBag can be carried comfortably on the tour as a hip bag or in a rucksack if the start and destination stations are chosen differently. With TranZBag, SBB offers the original bicycle transport bag: Touring bikes, racing bikes and mountain bikes can be transported in the portable transport bag in the same way as freeride and downhill bikes. The risk of theft is considerably reduced by transporting bikes in the TranZBag, as the often high-quality and customized bikes are always carried by the owner and are not visible to third parties. On ICN trains, transporting bicycles in the TranZBag also eliminates the obligation to reserve bicycles.

Bicycles can be packed in the TranZBag in just a few minutes: The bike is packed into the bag and the fork is protected with the enclosed fork protector. Only the front wheel is removed and stowed in the built-in inner pocket. Operating instructions are included in the packaging. The TranZBag bicycle transport bag pays for itself after just ten SBB train journeys. Virtually all other means of public transport in Switzerland also transport bicycles in the TranZBag as free hand luggage.
