Trek relocates road bike production to Hartmannsdorf

While almost all major bike manufacturers have their bikes made in the Far East, Trek is taking a different approach and strengthening its production site in Hartmannsdorf, Germany. For several months now, the US manufacturer has been producing its top models in the "Diamant" factories.

A further increase in production of 70 percent is planned for the 2006 season. From then on, the models 1000/1200/1400/1500/6700/8000, the little brothers of Lance's Madone, the Madone 5.2 and the Bontrager wheels will be "Made in Germany".
