The Union Européenne de Cyclisme has commissioned the city of Gothenburg (Sweden) to host the 2027 European Mountain Bike Championships. More than 400 athletes from over 30 countries will compete for the 13 titles to be awarded, including the team relay and the men's and women's cross-country and short-track races in the elite, U23 and junior categories.

The reigning champions of the Mediterranean Epic in Oropesa del Mar, Spain, Wout Alleman and Rosa van Doorn, won the race once again, giving Team Buff Megamo a double victory. Swiss riders Janina Wust and Chrystelle Baumann completed the podium in the overall standings, as did Charlie Aldridge (GBR) and Eskil Evensen-Lie (NOR) in the men's race.

The dates of the five races at which the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup will be held in marathon format in 2025 have officially been set. Under the somewhat cumbersome title "Hero UCI Cross-Country Marathon World Cup", an international race series is being created that is aimed at professionals on the one hand, but also appeals to amateur athletes on the other.

Canada dominates the Hardline: Jackson Goldstone wins the Red Bull Hardline ahead of Asa Vermette and Troy Brosnan. His compatriot Gracey Hemstreet wins the first ever Red Bull Hardline women's podium

At the Snowbike World Championships in Châtel (FRA), Switzerland's Lisa Baumann wins the world titles in the Super G and parallel slalom. Frenchman Vincent Tupin won the men's super-G ahead of his compatriots Pierre Thevenard and Cedric Gracia. Switzerland's Myles Weber narrowly missed out on a medal with fourth place. In the parallel slalom, Léo Grisel took the title ahead of his French compatriots Thevenard and Tupin. The best non-Frenchman is the German Julian Steiner in fifth place.
