Last year, the world-class enduro rider gathered the next generation around him in Flims and gave out valuable advice. As this meeting took place as part of the "Dakine Trailfox", the project also had a name: Wildi's Foxes. Now the logical continuation is taking place in Klosters. "I'm very interested in the next generation, I'm happy to get involved," says Wildhaber, who belongs to a dying breed: "It's getting more and more crowded on the Enduro World Tour, more and more pros, more and more teams. I'm one of the last people still more or less on my own."

Half a dozen young foxes aged 16 to 17 will be able to benefit for two days. The weather was perfect on Saturday, but it really poured on Sunday. "The trail was still good to ride, and once you get really muddy, you don't mind the wet," says René Wildhaber. He also likes snow himself, as he has proven several times in races. "On Sunday, it was already raining in the morning when we set off on the Gotschnagrat. Fortunately, we only smelled the snow," laughs the marathon downhill biker.

Although it is not always easy to put together a homogeneous group with a similar performance level from the registrations, the mountain farmer's son from Flumserberg is very keen to cater to the young riders: "The boys were totally motivated. And at the end I give each of them a personal tip, something that will help them as riders." That's quite a lot of understatement, because the young foxes can probably pick up dozens of tips during the two days full of sun, mud and 60 kilometers on the bike.www.renewildhaber.ch
