The fact that winter is often late in unfolding its white splendor alone means that people are riding their mountain bikes for longer. And even when there is snow, you can still have a lot of fun, especially with the new e-mountainbikes, so that people are now out and about in nature in winter in very different ways. The spectrum ranges from walking/hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, sledging and snowshoeing to ski touring and snowboarding, and is sometimes even practiced by the same person depending on the conditions.

Winter, of course, brings with it special demands on clothing, whether you are skiing down or up the mountain, snowboarding through the powder or cruising through the city or forests on a bike. The balancing act between weather protection, thermal regulation, light weight and agility for all winter outdoor sports is the big challenge for every outfit.
