The "Line Pro 30" and "Line Elite 30" models are each available in 27.5 and 29-inch sizes. All models in the new range are built with a new rim design with a flatter profile of 27 millimetres, which increases vertical compliance and ensures a stable, safe and not too hard ride on the trail.

The new rim profile also ensures that the wheel can better absorb and distribute impact energy to prevent damage. In addition, Bontrager has more than doubled the wall thickness of the rim flanges to 4.6 millimetres, further increasing strength and durability.
"These wheels have set all-time records in our impact tests, but we wanted to go one step further so that every rider could buy them and rely on them," explains Graham Wilhelm, Bontrager's Product Director for Wheels and Tires. "So we developed a completely new test rig that simulates even harder bumps and impacts, like those that happen when you hit rocks. These wheels have delivered incredibly good results."

According to Bontrager, the brand new "Line Pro 30" and "Line Elite 30" are the most stable carbon mountain bike wheels the company has ever tested - and not just from Bontrager, but from all manufacturers.

The "Line Pro 30" is the ultimate mountain bike carbon wheel for trails and enduro. It has the lightest rims in the Line model family, higher quality hubs and more compliant, thinner straight-pull spokes. On the other hand, the "Line Elite 30" is the ultimate trail carbon wheel with the best price/performance ratio. The Elite impresses with the same stability and robustness as the Pro, but has a slightly heavier rim and comes with a conventional J-Bend hub.

Completely new rim design

The wall thickness of the rim flanges of 4.6 millimetres increases the strength and robustness of the rim, while the flatter profile height of 27 millimetres increases the vertical compliance and contributes to better shock absorption.

Fewer punctures

The wider rim flange with its 300 percent larger radius ensures that forces are distributed over a larger surface area in the event of heavy impacts, reducing the risk of snakebite punctures.

OCLV Carbon

The Line rims are made from proven OCLV Pro Carbon for an optimized mix of weight, stability and durability.

All models are equipped with Rapid Drive 108 hubs, which are designed to provide 108 cogging points for fast acceleration and superior propulsion on even the most demanding terrain.
