Der längste Bike-Tag der Saison
For an epic day of mountain biking, it's best to get up early, for example if you opt for the Bahnenentour Engadin St. Moritz. Before sunrise, the mountain railroads take you from St. Moritz up to Piz Nair, where the start of the longest day of biking is accompanied by the sound of alphorns. Soon afterwards, the sun slowly rises behind the peaks in the east and the glowing red ball bathes the rocks below Piz Nair in a uniquely beautiful light. The first single trails of the Bahnentour are tackled in the golden morning light, only to take the train straight back up to the summit on Corviglia. Once the sun is up, the mountain bikers disappear in all directions. After all, the longest bike day should be used for as many singletrail descents as possible.
The Piz Nair Sunrise Events take place three times a summer, in 2022 on July 31, August 28 and September 25. The event ticket is available from 75 francs, which includes the extra ride in the morning, the sumptuous breakfast buffet in the summit restaurant and the day pass for the mountain railroads with mountain bike transport.
