When Hans was still a child, he spent a skiing vacation in Livigno with his parents. Decades later, he returned with his bike. The village had developed considerably in the meantime and the single trails in particular exceeded Rey's wildest expectations. During his first bike tour on the Panoramica di Livigno, Hans passed a few old alpine huts ("malga" or "baita"). He immediately expressed the wish to live in such a mountain villa for a whole summer. Now, this summer, that wish is coming true.

Since that first bike tour a few years ago, Hans Rey has kept in touch with Livigno and the Alta Rezia region. Two years ago, he and his friend and multiple world champion Thomas Frischknecht went on a journey of discovery through the area during their Alta Rezia Freeride Tour. This summer, Hans will set off again to discover new trails and find out how the region has developed since the first Alta Rezia Tour.

All bikers who, like Hans, feel the urge to get out on their bikes can visit him at the Free Wheel Fest in Livigno from September 6-9. Guided tours, lessons in the bike park and test stations are on the program as well as evenings around the campfire or pure relaxation in ancient Roman thermal springs.
