Saisonstart der Bergbahnen an diesem Wochenende

Am ersten Juli-Wochenende starten traditionell die Schweizer Bergbahnen in ihre Sommersaison. Das ist in diesem Jahr nicht anders und ab kommenden Samstag können auch die Mountainbiker wieder von den zahlreichen Aufstiegshilfen profitieren.

While some cable cars and gondolas have been back in full summer operation since Pentecost, many major mountain railroads are following suit with the start of the summer vacations at the beginning of July. The mountain railroads in the Engadin destinations will be back in operation from next weekend and the Davos Klosters mountain railroads will also be opening their gates. The Italian bike destination Livigno already started operating three weeks ago.

However, there is still some snow at high altitudes. Snow fields are still to be expected, especially in depressions on northern slopes and on avalanche cones above 2300 meters, because the snow melt could not progress fast enough in the relatively cool spring.
