Stöckli-Bike-Marathonserie: Die Rennen ohne Zeitdruck
The three-part Stöckli Bike Marathon series starts for the 9th time with the Buechibärg Marathon. The varied route with start and finish at the Stöckli branch in Zuchwil rides over 53 kilometers through the Solothurn and Bernese forests. Many small climbs and crisp descents await the bikers, who have to overcome a total of 800 meters in altitude. After the start, the route rides towards Oberwald, via Biberentäli to Grabenöli. The route then heads back towards Mörismatt, to Rüttifeldweg and finally back to Zuchwil. Refreshment and repair stations are set up along the way to ensure that athletes and bikes have everything they need.
The popular Stöckli Napf Bike Marathon is taking place for the 16th time. The 46-kilometre route, which starts and finishes at the Stöckli branch in Wolhusen, rides through the beautiful Napf landscape. Smaller and larger climbs as well as crisp descents await the bikers, who have to overcome a total of 1,300 meters in altitude. After the start, the route first leads towards Twerenegg and Oberlehn on the Stächelegg. The route then rides back to Wolhusen via Menzberg and Steinhuserberg.On Sunday, August 21, 2016, it's that time again. For the 7th time, the Stöckli-Wil-Bike-Marathon will attract participants from all over Switzerland. The start is between 8.00-9.30 am at the Stöckli branch in Wil. From there, the route covers 52 kilometers and 1,150 meters of altitude difference, first in the direction of Littenheid, Fischingen up to the Steig. The bikers then ride back to the starting point via Kirchberg and Wilen b. Wil.
All marathons are deliberately not timed; the focus is on enjoyment. Most participants see the Stöckli Marathon as a leisurely tour that can be ridden together with colleagues. All finishers receive a great gift at the finish line. The large festival restaurant in the start/finish area also invites you to linger after the marathon.
