Test: Bontrager Flash Charger

The Bontrager Flash Charger is a sight of its own. Due to the additional reservoir, the floor pump appears bulky and yet weighs just under three kilos. The reservoir is necessary to provide the necessary pressure for the explosive pumping power. It can be inflated to eleven bar with approximately 48 pump strokes. This pressure is sufficient to place the tires on the rim and seal them accordingly. The procedure is very simple - close the switch lever - fill the reservoir - connect the pump - open the switch lever. In the test, we inflated an Onza Ibex 29/2.4 inch tire directly to two bar in a matter of seconds.

With the Bontrager Flash Charger, the tedious positioning of tubeless tires on the rim is a thing of the past. Tire changes are no longer a problem. A little tip: a large syringe, such as the one supplied with Milkit, is suitable for removing sealant from the tire and refilling it. This makes the whole process not only quick, but also mess-free.www.trekbikes.com
