A new mid-engine player: Pendix enters the stage

Pendix used to have rather exotic status in the e-bike business: the drive can be retrofitted with a motor to the left of the bottom bracket and the battery resembles a bidon. Now things are moving in a new direction: Pendix presents a mid-motor.

The Zwickau-based drive specialist Pendix will be exhibiting at this year's Eurobike in Frankfurt a.M. for the first time its new motor, the Pendix gDrive. During development, Pendix focused primarily on sustainability: The integrated mid-mounted motor is produced in Germany and has a modular design. This makes it possible to replace or repair individual components.

The Pendix gDrive is the first joint product from the cooperation with the Johnson Electric Group, to which Pendix has belonged since October 2022.
