BionX and Yamaha - these are the motor suppliers for Wheeler's e-mountainbike fleet. At BionX, the large motor is traditionally located in the rear wheel and packs a lot of torque, while Yamaha's powerful mid-motor will provide more power, lower dimensions and less weight for 2017.

Wheeler's successful Falcon and Hornet models have been given a massive refresh for the 2017 season. On board are new frames that are visually and technically impressive and packed with modern standards.

For the 13th time already, one of the oldest and toughest mountain bike stage races, the Cape Epic, will be held in South Africa from March 13 - 20, 2016. The Wheeler/Bixs team will be at the start with four riders. Martin Gujan and Konny Looser talk about their plans for the Epic, and for Looser it is the most important race of the year.

The Grisons native will be returning to Switzerland next season. After three years with the OMX Pro Team, the cross-country pro is looking forward to his new Swiss team. The biggest departure from the Wheeler team is undoubtedly Lars Forster, who is moving to BMC.

A mountain bike portfolio without motorized bikes? It's long since unthinkable - and so Stöckli and Wheeler are showing brand new rolling stock that is electrified.

The Wheeler-iXS team has signed up two established young riders, Lars Forster and Fabian Paumann, ahead of the Mountain Bike World Championships in Lenzerheide. Ramona Kupferschmied and Daniel Eymann have also joined the team. Esther Süss remains the backbone of the Swiss team.

The Wheeler bike range for the 2015 model year is bursting with carbon bolides, lots of suspension travel and the latest technology. Ride took a closer look at two models that hit the enduro and trail notch.

An e-bike from Wheeler is always equipped with a rear wheel motor from BionX. This maxim is being overturned for the 2015 model year, as a mid-motor system is being introduced that manufacturers such as Giant and Haibike rely on.

The Twentyniner all-mountain bike has a compact appearance. So compact that the frame almost looks a little undersized compared to the large wheels. However, the Brazilian 14 stands out.

Wheeler is focusing on the 27.5-inch format across the board: the new all-mountain models roll onto the trails in the mid-size. The main ingredients of the brand new "Brazilian Trailbikes" are 29er wheels and generous suspension travel.

The Taiwanese manufacturer has 40 candles on its birthday cake this year - and a limited edition anniversary model in its portfolio. The celebrations are being held with a 650b hardtail that not only boasts a carbon chassis.

In addition to the new "Raptor" product line, Wheeler is also presenting a new rear suspension system. This is called "Super Single Pivot" and is used on the four model series "R.A.M.P", "Passera", "Hornet" and the new "Raptor" line.

The new signings of the Intercycle brand teams Wheeler and BiXS point to the different objectives. While Wheeler, with Esther Süss, Marcel Bartholet and the two newcomers Jane Nüssli and Jolanda Neff, will continue to focus on cross-country and long-distance races, BiXS is focusing on marathons. In addition to Lukas Buchli, Thomas Stoll, Silvio Büsser, Stefan Roffler, Urs Baumann and Norbert Wyss, Philipp Gerber is a new signing.

Wheeler is relying on the same team riders for the 2010 season as in the previous season. With Esther Süss and Erika Dicht, they have two of Switzerland's dominant marathon women in their ranks, and with Marcel Batholet they also have a racer who can compete at the very front in the long distance.

The Swiss top downhiller and dual rider Sari Jörgensen, who has been plagued by bad luck in recent years, is aiming to catch up with the world's best again in the 2002 season. On the program of her new team Wheeler are the European World Cup events and the German dual series.

A lightweight Scandium frame with a drive-neutral four-bar rear triangle, plus a DT Swiss shock absorber that "tames" nine centimetres of suspension travel: this is probably the wish list of many marathon specialists. The frame of the new Wheeler top model "Raceline Falcon 10" offers all of this. The complete bike comes with a complete Shimano XTR groupset, a RockShox "SID Team" fork with a lockout lever on the handlebars and a Scandium stem and seatpost, all in the "not cheap, but good and light" category. An ideal base for anyone whose motto is "chain right".

The most striking feature of the Wheeler "Falcon" is the new frame. It will be used on the "Falcon Limited" and "Falcon 10" next year and is made entirely of carbon. In addition to an elegant cubic frame design, Wheeler has also revised the cable routing. The gear cables are now routed in the top tube and in the seat stay. The bike looks very tidy in the new design.
